Nextel and Motorola introduce new handset

Nextel Communications Inc. and Motorola Inc. today announced the i30sx mobile phone, an easy-to-use handset designed to give customers a feature-rich, but lower-cost option when selecting phones for business or individual needs. Users can customize the look of the phone with interchangeable faceplates available in black, stainless or astro blue.

"The i30sx phone is a great alternative for our customers to get the functionality they want from their mobile phones in a stylish, affordable package," said Blair Kutrow, vice president of product management for Nextel. "These lightweight phones feature a simple user interface that is easily navigated with a joystick to access voice, Internet, and messaging services."

"We designed the Motorola i30sx handset for users who need a single, affordable device to handle their various communication needs but who also want to express their individual style," said Peter Aloumanis, vice president and general manager, U.S. Markets Division, Motorola's iDENŽ.
