Microcell Solutions Inc. and National Bank sign agreement

Microcell Solutions Inc., national supplier of Fido® Service, and the National Bank of Canada (NBC) today signed an agreement destined to provide their respective customers with access to financial services via their wireless handsets. The two companies will conduct a market test over the next few days and are planning to make the service commercially available next year.

The new wireless financial services will include the ability to check balances on bank accounts, lines of credit and credit cards via a user-friendly interface built into the wireless handset. They will also enable customers to access their most recent bank account and credit card transactions. The application will also provide direct access to Customer Service at the National Bank and MasterCard from a Fido handset.

"In the very near future, these wireless financial services will offer real benefits to Fido and National Bank customers," stated Mr. Fulvio A. Bussandri, President and Chief Operating Officer of Microcell Solutions Inc. "They will change consumer buying habits by enabling customers to control their personal financial transactions, no matter where they are."
