February 04, 2004 By: Yen Hung Roadpost named cellular supplier to World Youth Day 2002From July 22 to 28, Pope John Paul II and an estimated 350,000 Catholic youth from 150 countries around the world will converge in Toronto, host city to World Youth Day 2002. To address the communications needs surrounding this event, Roadpost has been named the Cellular Supplier to World Youth Day 2002. Building on its role as a major supplier of wireless communications solutions for special events, Roadpost will be providing 2,000 cellular phones to members of the World Youth Day Organizing Committee. Roadpost will also be offering visiting youth and their families with competitive short-term rental and airtime rates for cellular phones. According to Morris Shawn, president and CEO of Roadpost, "Our involvement in World Youth Day is testament to our reputation for reliability in supporting the wireless needs for high profile events." Roadpost will handle all operational logistics and the communications infrastructure for this event. This includes on-site support for the organizing committee during activities at the Exhibition Place and Downsview Lands; enabling participating families to make their cellular phone reservations online in advance of their arrival in Toronto; delivering the phones; and managing any customer service inquiries.
