Show Off Your Cell Phone Software

All of your friends can see how cool your cell phone looks. Now it’s time to impress them with your cell phone software. Vendors are creating software for cell phones that will allow you to do anything from wow your friends to hide from them.

  • Find a friend - You can have instant access to your friend’s e-mail address and that cute guy’s phone number without having to enter the info from your cell phone keypad. Several companies make cellular phone software that manages your contact information and syncs your cellular phonebook to your computer. You can enter new contacts from your computer keyboard then all you have to do is push a button to access the information. Many software packages will also manage your calendar so you won’t accidentally blow a friend off.
  • Fool a friend - Soundcover, cell phone software developed by Romanian company Simeda, can make it sound like your someplace else. You can use the software to simulate all kinds of background noises from your cellular phone. You can pretend you’re just about anywhere—tied up in heavy traffic, at the dentist office or even the circus. You can program the software to automatically play certain background noise when your cell phone receives a call from a specific number.
  • Impress a friend - New software for entertainment will bring some of your favorite games to your handset. Electronic Arts has announced that it will offer downloadable software for popular games including FIFA football and The Sims. Want to impress your friends? Tell them you have new gaming software. Want to keep them? Let them play.
