September 08, 2004 By: Wendy Whittaker Cellular Bridging Devices Are Reducing The Costs To ConsumersNew cellular bridging devices will make it possible to make calls over a VoIP (Voice of IP) network to truly anywhere in the world at greatly reduced rates. i2Telecom announced development of the cellular bridging devices in May 2004. The cell bridging device can bridge any cell phone to i2Telecom’s global VoIP network. i2Telecom becomes the first company to offer cell phone users access to the VoIP network by simply plugging in the inexpensive bridging device. VoIP networks offer a considerably less-expensive alternative to calls made over traditional long-distance and cellular networks. i2Telecom released this chart comparing charges for international calls using standard mobile phone service with those using the cellular bridging device to connect to the VoIP network. The cellular bridging device does not require any PIN numbers or access codes. You simply plug the device into your existing phone line and your Internet connection. When you dial that number from your cell phone, the device recognizes your phone ID and connects you to the VoIP network. You can use the VoIP network to call anywhere in the world at greatly reduced rates or to call other VoIP network users free. The cell bridging device works with all mobile phones on the market today regardless of protocol or service provider. Go To Also See: free cell phone offers. About
