Cingular Gives Its Customers a 20-20 View with New Multimedia Alerts

Cingular customers also can send fun and unique greeting cards from the Multimedia Store, personalize them with their own message and then send them to any email address or Cingular mobile number.

"Multimedia Alerts combine pictures and text, allowing our customers to enjoy their multimedia phones," said Rob Hyatt, Executive Director of Data Services for Cingular Wireless. "For example, customers can receive weather alerts customized by zip code that include radar images and four-day forecast snapshots. And for people who like to 'see' how their stocks are performing, their daily stock report will be delivered with a graph to indicate the increase or decrease in activity."

To begin receiving Multimedia Alerts, Cingular customers must have a multimedia capable phone and Multimedia Messaging. Customers can sign up for Multimedia Messaging at http://www.cingular.com/sharenow or visit a Cingular store or call 1-866-CINGULAR for more information. Multimedia Alerts and greeting cards are available immediately and can be purchased at the Multimedia Store at http://www.cingular.com/multimediastore . These premium Multimedia Alerts cost $0.25 each.
